McCOOK Neb. — When hailstorms sweep through the Midwest, SkyDiamonds Auto Repair is often one of the first teams on the ground—ready to restore not only vehicles, but also peace of mind. The company, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Austin, Texas, has built its reputation on precision, honesty, and a heartfelt commitment to the communities it serves.
This fall, SkyDiamonds has brought that same dedication to McCook, where their team is currently operating from 210 W. 3rd Street, specializing in hail damage repair and collision restoration. On Wednesday, October 22, the business celebrated its local ribbon cutting with the McCook Area Chamber of Commerce.
A Traveling Team With Small-Town Values
Though SkyDiamonds’ reach spans across states—from North Dakota to Texas and now Colorado and Nebraska—their philosophy remains grounded in the kind of service that feels personal.
“We really like coming to smaller communities,” said Greg Biddulph, who has worked in the industry for more than a decade. “You get to know people—the person at the gas station, the barista at Scooters, the folks waving as they drive by. That sense of connection is what makes towns like McCook special.”
Team members John Milburn, Eddie Rodriguez, and Aisha Keaton share that sentiment. Together, they emphasize that SkyDiamonds is not a ‘fly-by-night’ repair group. Instead, they strive to become part of the local fabric during their stay, renting local housing, supporting restaurants, printing materials with local vendors, and giving back through Chamber involvement and community partnerships.
“We want to be the company that comes in, helps everyone, and leaves people happy,” said Rodriguez. “We don’t want to just set up a tent and disappear. We invest in the community while we’re here.”
Taking the Stress Out of Auto Repair
The SkyDiamonds team takes pride in offering Paintless Dent Repair (PDR)—a method that restores vehicles to factory standards without sanding, fillers, or repainting. This approach helps retain the car’s original value and finish.
“People don’t always realize how much hail damage can affect their car’s resale value,” said Milburn. “If you don’t get it fixed, that damage gets deducted when you trade it in. With PDR, we bring it back to OEM condition—no loss in value.”
Keaton, who focuses on customer support, said her goal is to make the process “as stress-free as possible.”
“When a storm hits, people are overwhelmed,” she said. “They can’t reach their insurance company, they don’t know what to do next. That’s where we come in. We handle the calls, guide them through the process, and make sure their car gets the care it deserves.”
Standing Up for the Customer
The team is candid about the challenges of working with large insurance corporations. “Local agents are great,” said Rodriguez, “but at the corporate level, it’s not always in the customer’s favor. Our job is to advocate—to make sure the repairs are done right, not rushed.”
That commitment often means long hours. “We don’t overpromise,” said Biddulph. “If we say three days, we make it happen—even if that means 18-hour shifts. It’s about keeping our word.”
Driven by Integrity and Precision
Behind the tools and lights used to spot every tiny dent lies a bigger purpose: trust. For SkyDiamonds, earning that trust is as important as fixing the cars themselves.
As Keaton put it, “We may not be from McCook, but while we’re here, we’re part of it.”
