The Red Willow County Board of Commissioners will hold its regular meeting on Monday, Jan. 27, at the courthouse. The agenda includes discussions on road issues, noxious weed control, and county tourism efforts. The meeting will begin with a review of accounts payable and payroll, followed by a brief Board of Equalization session. Noxious Weed Superintendent Sonya Prentice is set to present her department’s annual report during the noxious weed control discussion. The commissioners will also hear concerns from Steve Quigley regarding Road 719 and receive an annual report from Visitors Bureau Director Carol Schlegel, including a contract renewal discussion.
The board plans to appoint the Fair Board Manager for 2025 and discuss audit findings. County Treasurer Crystal Dack will present a resolution regarding delinquent taxes. Additional items on the agenda include consent approvals and updates from the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources and Miller & Associates. The meeting is open to the public, and the board may adjust the agenda or enter executive session if needed.
