10 Bee-Friendly Things Kids Can Do!

  1. Plant Bee-Friendly Flowers
Grow colorful flowers like sunflowers, lavender, and daisies. Bees love them!

  2. Avoid Using Pesticides
Chemicals can hurt bees. Ask grown-ups to use natural ways to keep bugs away.

  3. Make a Bee Bath
Fill a shallow dish with water and add pebbles. Bees can land on the pebbles and take a drink!

  4. Build a Bee Hotel
Use bamboo sticks or holes in wood to make a cozy spot for solitary bees to rest.

  5. Support Local Honey
Buying honey from nearby beekeepers helps them take care of their bees.

  6. Learn About Bees
Read books or watch videos to discover how amazing bees are and why they matter.

  7. Don’t Swat at Bees
Bees usually don’t want to sting. Stay calm and let them fly away.

  8. Leave Wildflowers Alone
Let wildflowers grow in your yard or park—they’re food for bees!

  9. Tell Your Friends
Share what you know about bees and how to help them. The more helpers, the better!

  10. Celebrate World Bee Day (May 20th)
Make crafts, wear yellow, or have a bee-themed party to show love for bees!
